Minecraft economy plugin that uses Bitcoin in-game.

Me and some buddies run a Big Dig server (similar to Feed the Beast and Tekkit). One of the plugins we use is called QuickShop, which basically allows players to create shops to buy/sell items through using a chest and a sign.
Well, I was thumbing through the config for the plugin, and came across this bit which caught my attention:

Advanced. This chooses which economy to hook into. If it fails, it will fall back to trying vault. Spelling must be exact. Case insensitive.

Vault - Will hook into anything vault can hook into (Vault is required for this to work)

Satoshis

Want yours added? Contact me (Netherfoam) on dev.bukkit.org

economy: Vault
Satoshis. Yes. After doing a tad bit more looking into this, I found that it's actually another plugin called Satoshis, found here: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/satoshis/
Amazing. Players can actually spend their Bitcoins IN GAME by funding an address that hooks into the plugin, and then export any earned Bitcoins gained from trading with players.
I will stick to Essentials economy for now, but I may actually consider somehow implementing it.

Helping a loved one find himself after years of dedicating his life to stuff he doesn't feel passionate about. HELP PLEASE

Hi reddit! So a lilttle back story: I met my (19F) boyfriend (21M) last year. At that time, he was really questioning whether or not he should give up on is major. In the meantime, he failed some classes due to the lack of motivation. Now, he's basically doing one year worth of classes in one semester and it's taking a tool on him
- So how does this relate to his depression?
Well, eversince he entered university he hasn't felt passionate about what he's studying. Some people may be able to live with this but he is a very curious and smart individual and, therefore, learning new subjects and having side projects are essential for is mental well being. A few nights ago, we were in bed and he confided in me that he felt like he was:
1. Not the same person he once was (curious, passionate, driven, proactive, determined) 2. Wasting his time (because his potential is not being explored and properly taken advantage off) - So fellow redditors, how can you help me?
He looooves having his little side projects. But, for a long time now, he hasn't had the motivation to find nor persue one. It would mean the world to me if you guys could give me some suggestions on interesting subjects he could explore! I'll list things he loves reading about bellow. I think that if I'm able to arouse his interest, he would be able to understand that the person he is never ceased to exist.
List:
  1. Programming (this one is first for a reason, he breaths this stuff. He's last project was on trying to program self-driving cars. He knows a lot of languages)
  2. Finance (he loves everything about the stock market, he once mined bitcoin)
  3. Economy
  4. Games (minecraft, gta, tribal wars)
  5. Mods (he wants to create mods! He actually created some for a game called starsector)
  6. Astronomy
  7. He's major is in industrial management engineering.
I'll keep adding if I remember more stuff. Thank you
Td;dr: my boyfriend is lacking a sence of passion in his life which is causing him to became more depressive. I'm reaching out to reddit in order to find a project that will interest him and hopefully make him remember what it feels like to be passionate about something his doing.

"A while ago, we started a minecraft server with a simple premise: To allow emergent political ideologies to direct the flow of gameplay, rather than design a server from the ground up. (...) Recently the server economy has taken an interesting turn, as Bitcoins have been introduced into the fray."

The Economics of Hermitcraft

I’m late to the game. I only started playing Minecraft a few months ago and watching Hermit Craft a few weeks ago.
Being a math nerd, I am fascinated by the economy that has sprung up on the sever complete with competition, monopolies, and gambling.
The way new “money” is added to the server is remarkably similar to Bitcoin, in that new currency is literally mined at a relatively pre determined rate.
When season seven starts, I intend to gather economic data on all the hermits individual net worth and the resources of various teams and companies. I have even thought about what prizes Iskall should put in his various games to optimize profits.
If this data is something you guys would be interested in seeing, let me know and I’ll regularly post my work here come season 7.
